Southwestern is holding auditions for its annual Bulldog Blitz talent show.
Auditions began Monday, January 23, and will take place through Wednesday, January 25, from 3-6 p.m. Tryouts will be held in the Commuter Lounge, which is located in the basement of the Student Union.
Any part- or full-time student can audition, including students located on the Sayre campus. Those who wish to audition are asked to sign up in the Dean’s office–located in Stafford room 214–and reserve an audition time slot. The judges anticipate having anywhere from 25 to 50 people audition for the talent show this year.
When asked about the purpose of the Bulldog Blitz, Chase Snyder, director of the Collegiate Activities Board, said, “It has been a tradition going on here at Southwestern for fifteen plus years. Southwestern is also huge on traditions.”
Snyder and other CAB members, as well as student interns from the Dean’s office will be working behind the scenes during the Bulldog Blitz.
Nine SWOSU administrators will judge the competition, which takes place February 23 at 7 p.m in the Fine Arts Center. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first place winners: $500 for the individual winner and $1,000 for the group winner, to be split evenly among the two or more people in the group.
